Product Overview
Hokuyo DMJ-GB1 IR Optical Data Transmitter Sensor Head
Condition: Used, clean and in very good cosmetic condition.
The Hokuyo DMJ-GB1 is a modular optical data transmission device designed for industrial automation applications, especially for use on Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and stationary stations. It communicates using parallel 8-bit I/O signals over an infrared link, allowing wireless data exchange between moving and stationary equipment. The unit is equipped with a head-on optical channel and is built for robust performance in high-frequency noise environments, supporting the SEMI E84 semiconductor industry communication standard.
Head-on transmission direction with a 1-meter range
It operates on 24VDC, with a current consumption of up to 100mA. The data transmission range is up to one meter for standard models, and high-frequency noise-resistant variants offer slightly less range. The device utilizes a pulse modulation system and parity check for reliable two-way half-duplex communication, with a transmission time of approximately 40 milliseconds. The DMJ-GB1 has a rugged body rated to IP64 (except for connectors), can withstand ambient temperatures from -10°C to +50°C, and comes equipped with flying lead cables for connection. Vibration and shock resistance meet industrial standards, and both NPN and PNP output configurations are available depending on installation requirements.
Applications include conveyor and AGV signaling, bridge communications between automated logistics systems, and any scenario requiring compact, wireless data links for parallel signals in industrial settings.
