Parker Hannifin Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Fittings and Motion Control
Arthur L. Parker founded the Parker Appliance Company in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1917. In 1957 it bought Hannifin, a company Arthur Hannifin had started in 1917, and took the name Parker Hannifin. The company has been publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange since 1964 and is headquartered in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, in Greater Cleveland.
Parker Hannifin specializes in motion and control technologies. Its product lines span hydraulics, pneumatics, electromechanical motion, filtration, fluid and gas handling, process control, sealing and shielding, climate control and aerospace. Fittings, hoses and cylinders are matched by size, thread and seal type, so the Parker part number of the original is the surest way to match a replacement.
