AMETEK U.S. Gauge Pressure Gauges, Electronic Instruments and Rotron Blowers
AMETEK was founded in 1930 as American Machine and Metals and changed its name to AMETEK in the early 1960s. The company is headquartered in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. In January 1998 AMETEK bought Rotron, then a subsidiary of EG&G.
AMETEK runs two operating groups, Electronic Instruments and Electromechanical, and its brands take in analytical instruments, monitoring, testing and calibration devices, electric motors, pumps and interconnects. U.S. Gauge pressure gauges are an AMETEK line, and the Rotron purchase added Rotron's motors, fans and blowers. Pressure gauges are matched by dial size, range and connection, so a replacement starts with the figures on the dial and the thread on the stem.
