Omega Engineering Thermocouples, Temperature Controllers, Pressure Transducers and Data Acquisition
Omega Engineering was founded in 1962 by Betty Hollander in Stamford, Connecticut, and moved its headquarters to Norwalk, Connecticut, in 2016. The British group Spectris bought the company in 2011. In 2022 Arcline Investment Management bought Omega and merged it into its Dwyer Group, renamed the DwyerOmega Group.
Omega Engineering started out making ultra-fine-gauge thermocouples and grew into a broad line of process measurement and control products: thermocouples and RTDs, temperature controllers, pressure transducers, flow and level instruments, pH meters, load cells, electric heaters, and data loggers and data acquisition equipment. Test rigs and process lines built around Omega parts are usually repaired with the same part number, so earlier models stay in demand.
