VWR Laboratory Supplies and Lab Equipment
VWR traces its start to 1852, when John Taylor founded the John Taylor Company selling mining and laboratory products. George Van Waters and Nat Rogers, who founded the chemical distributor Van Waters and Rogers in 1924, bought the laboratory supply businesses that grew out of it in 1950 and 1953, and their combined company split into Univar and VWR Corporation in 1986. The company moved its world headquarters to Radnor, Pennsylvania, in 2010, and Avantor completed its acquisition of VWR on November 21, 2017.
VWR distributes research laboratory products, from chemicals and research equipment to protective clothing and laboratory furniture, and serves the government, biotechnology, life science, education, electronics and pharmaceutical sectors. Labs reorder the same supplies again and again, so the VWR catalog number is the quickest way to match what a lab already uses.
