ISEL Automation

isel CNC Machines, Linear Axes, Ball Screw Drives and Automation Components

isel was founded in 1972 by Hugo Isert and is based in Eichenzell and Eiterfeld, Germany. The company makes CNC machines, automation components, and wafer handling robots for the semiconductor trade, and builds most of the components for its systems in-house. In 2021 isel separated its subsidiary isel Automation, and in January 2022 Aalberts completed its purchase of isel Germany AG for its advanced mechatronics group. In 2023 isel Germany AG became isel Germany GmbH.

isel's range takes in CNC machines, linear guides and ball screw spindles, linear and rotary axes, motors and controllers, aluminum profiles and assembly tables, and wafer handling robots for semiconductor work. A ball screw axis turns motor rotation into straight-line travel, the motion behind CNC routers, pick-and-place gantries and lab automation stages. Machines built on isel axes stay in service for years, so matching components for earlier machines stay in demand.
