Warner Electric Electromagnetic Clutches, Brakes and Controls
Warner Electric was organized in Beloit, Wisconsin, in 1927, with A. P. Warner as president until he retired in 1934. Warner developed an electric brake while working on trailers, and later an electric clutch. In 2004 Warner Electric was one of the brands in the group that formed Altra Industrial Motion, which Regal Rexnord acquired in March 2023.
Warner Electric is known for electromagnetic clutches and brakes, and its range also takes in clutch and brake controls and sensors, web tension systems, mechanical torque limiters, and hydraulic and pneumatic clutches and brakes. Friction faces and armatures wear with each engagement, and replacements are matched to the clutch or brake model and size.
