Asco

ASCO Solenoid Valves, Solenoid Coils and Pressure Switches

ASCO began as the Automatic Switch Company, founded on September 5, 1888, in Baltimore, Maryland. Emerson Electric acquired the company in 1985. The transfer switch business, ASCO Power Technologies, went to Schneider Electric in 2017.

ASCO's fluid automation line takes in solenoid valves along with seat, pinch, proportional, fuel shutoff and dust collector valves, and ASCO also makes pressure switches such as the Series P, which pairs a switch with a transducer unit. ASCO solenoids come in enclosure types that include Red-Hat, and the electrical tables in ASCO's general service valve catalog list a spare coil part number, so a failed coil on those constructions can be replaced without changing the valve, matched by that part number and the coil voltage.
