Stainless steel wire mesh construction distributes hoisting load evenly along the cable jacket, protecting the transmission line from point-load damage during tower climbs. The L-Type designation means this grip is configured for use when the top connector is already installed before hoisting begins - if connector installation follows hoisting, the C-Type (closed) version is required instead. Compatible cable types include RFS LCF158 and HCA158 coaxial cables, and RFS E58, E60, and E65 elliptical waveguides.

Is this the right grip for my installation - L-Type or C-Type?
The HOIST1-158L is an L-Type (lace-up, open) grip. Use it when your top connector is installed before hoisting. If you plan to install the connector after the cable is in position, you need the C-Type (closed) version - a different part number.
What cables and waveguides does this fit?
Confirmed compatible: RFS LCF158 coaxial, RFS HCA158 coaxial, CELLFLEX 1-5/8" coaxial cable, and RFS E58, E60, and E65 elliptical waveguides. It is sized specifically for 1-5/8" diameter - it will not work correctly on larger or smaller cable outside that diameter range.
What is the maximum cable length I can hoist with this grip?
Up to 60 meters for LCF158 and HCA158 coaxial cable runs. Up to 100 meters for E60 and E65 elliptical waveguide runs. Do not exceed these lengths per grip.
