Condition: The item is used and in good cosmetic condition, with minor scuffs and scratches from normal use and storage. We have tested the unit to power up only. The fan spins smoothly and everything appears to be fully functional from our inspection. The unit was bagged and stored for a few years, so you should replace the filters before use. We checked online for replacement filters, and it looks like they are available from Newport at a reasonable price.
The Oriel 66087 Ozone Eater operates by using catalytic filters to convert ozone back into oxygen. This process is essential when dealing with ultraviolet (UV) lamps that emit radiation at wavelengths below 242 nm, as these lamps can generate ozone from the oxygen in the air.
