Upon close examination of the photos, you will notice that there is an extra board inside, a ribbon cable has been attached to the backside of the main board, and there is an additional round connector on the rear of the card.
It has been reported that the gain appears to be limited to 8000 channels instead of 16000. These modifications may be reversible, or the module can still be used in its current state.
