Product Overview
Lot of 4 MSA ICM 2000 PASS Modules - 4500 psig & 2216 psig SCBA Variants for Parts or Repair
Condition
AS-IS for parts or repair. These four units were marked "Bad Constant Alarm" by the previous operator; we did not perform any independent testing. Sold strictly as-is for diagnostic work, component harvesting, or depot-level refurbishment. Sourced from a government research facility. Black polymer housings show light surface scuffs and normal wear; analog pressure gauges, LCD displays, red ALARM buttons, yellow RESET buttons, and red-capped ports are present on all four units. Label on one unit shows MODEL 10022318, ASSY 7-1219-1, AP2001 (L) REV 3, NFPA 1982 1998 Edition; label is partially torn and red tamper screws are visible. One unit is MSA-marked MADE IN GERMANY, ETL listed, code 9902518.

Product Overview
MSA ICM 2000 Integrated Control Modules - Personal Alert Safety System (PASS) devices designed for use with MSA AirHawk MMR Air Mask SCBA systems. This lot contains four modules: two 10022318 units (4500 psig, with thermistor path), one 10022319 unit (4500 psig), and one 10022312 unit (2216 psig). Each module integrates a mechanical pressure gauge, pressure transducer, thermal sensor, and motion-activated digital tracking alarm into a single potted body. The ICM 2000 automatically activates when the SCBA cylinder valve is opened; it enters pre-alarm after 18 seconds of no motion, escalating to full alarm after an additional 12 seconds of motionlessness. Piezoceramic alarm sounders and shoulder-strap alignment anchor tracks are built into the housing.
Key Features
- Lot of 4 modules: two MSA 10022318 (4500 psig), one MSA 10022319 (4500 psig), one MSA 10022312 (2216 psig)
- Combined mechanical gauge and electronic pressure transducer in a single potted body
- Integrated thermistor path on 10022318 units for thermal sensing
- Motion-activated PASS alarm: pre-alarm at 18 seconds motionless, full alarm at 30 seconds
- Multi-tone piezoceramic alarm sounder
- LCD display present on all four units (unpowered/untested)
- Shoulder-strap alignment anchor tracks built into housing
- Designed for MSA AirHawk MMR Air Mask SCBA ecosystem
- NFPA 1982 (1998 Edition) and NFPA 1981 (1997 Edition) compliance stated on unit label - current certification status not confirmed given AS-IS condition
- Requires 9-volt alkaline battery (Duracell NEDA 160 or equivalent)
- Heavy-duty potted polymer housing; units marked MADE IN GERMANY on at least one label
Applications
- SCBA repair technicians diagnosing "Bad Constant Alarm" faults - these units provide four donor bodies for component-level troubleshooting and fault isolation on the motion sensor or alarm circuitry
- Depot-level refurbishment shops harvesting piezoceramic sounders, pressure transducers, or thermistor assemblies to restore other ICM 2000 units to service
- Fire department equipment managers building a bench stock of ICM 2000 cores for legacy AirHawk MMR fleet maintenance where OEM replacement modules are scarce or cost-prohibitive
- MSA-certified technicians performing rebuild evaluations to determine which sub-assemblies remain serviceable before retiring the bodies
- Training and familiarization use - non-certified personnel using AS-IS units to learn ICM 2000 alarm sequences and gauge functions without consuming serviceable inventory
Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is included in this lot?
Four MSA ICM 2000 PASS modules: two part number 10022318 (4500 psig with thermistor path), one part number 10022319 (4500 psig), and one part number 10022312 (2216 psig). No accessories, batteries, gauge hoses, or SCBA components are included.
What does "Bad Constant Alarm" mean for these units?
The previous operator tagged all four units with this fault designation before decommissioning. It typically indicates an issue with the motion sensor or alarm circuitry that causes the alarm to sound continuously rather than only on motion loss. We did not test the units independently. Function is not confirmed on any of the four modules. Buyers should treat all four as non-functional donor cores.
What SCBA system are these compatible with?
The ICM 2000 is designed for the MSA AirHawk MMR Air Mask SCBA. The 10022318 and 10022319 modules are rated for 4500 psig high-pressure cylinder configurations. The 10022312 module is rated for 2216 psig low-pressure configurations. MSA BMR SCBA systems require a different kit. Verify fit against your specific SCBA model before ordering.
Can these be installed or repaired without an MSA-certified technician?
MSA specifies that ICM kit installation and critical repairs must be performed by MSA-certified technicians. Performing these operations outside that requirement voids warranties and may affect safety certification status. These units are sold for parts and repair use only - they are not ready-to-install serviceable modules.
Are these suitable for active duty firefighting use?
No. These are AS-IS non-functional units sold for parts, diagnostic testing, component harvesting, and repair. They carry a known fault designation and have not been tested, calibrated, or certified. They must not be placed into service as life-safety equipment without full evaluation, repair, and recertification by qualified personnel.
ICM 2000 cores are genuinely hard to come by - most shops are cannibalizing one unit to keep three others alive. Four bodies in a single lot means your bench stock just got a fighting chance.
