Product Overview
MSA ICM TX (FCC ID P9R-10060782, AP5001 (L) REV 4) is a shoulder-mounted integrated PASS and HUD transmitter for 4500 psi SCBA systems. It attaches to the shoulder gauge hose, activates automatically when the cylinder valve opens, and transmits real-time air pressure data via digitally encoded radio signal to a NightFighter HUD receiver mounted in an MSA Ultra Elite facepiece. A 7-LED display on the HUD shows cylinder pressure in 25% increments directly in the firefighter's line of sight. The integrated PASS alarm monitors motion and sounds if the wearer becomes still; a manual alarm button is also present. Compliant with NFPA 1981/1982 and NIOSH standards. Rated Class I, Div 1, Groups A-D, T1 intrinsically safe.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the transmitter only, or does it include the HUD receiver?
Transmitter unit only. The NightFighter HUD receiver that mounts to the MSA Ultra Elite facepiece is not included. What you see in the photos is what ships.
What facepiece and SCBA system is this compatible with?
The ICM TX is designed for MSA SCBA systems rated at 4500 psi. The HUD receiver (sold separately) attaches to an MSA Ultra Elite facepiece. It is not compatible with non-MSA facepieces or SCBA systems at different pressure ratings such as 2216 psi. Verify your system pressure and facepiece model before ordering.
Was this unit tested?
Yes - unit powers up and alarms confirmed during evaluation. LCD display is active. Battery compartment contacts are clean. This is beyond a visual-only inspection. That said, this is life-safety equipment: installation and final certification must be performed by an MSA-certified technician per MSA requirements before placing the unit back in service.
What batteries does it take?
4x AA batteries for the transmitter. Only Duracell MN1500 or Energizer E91 AA batteries are approved - using other types voids the intrinsic safety rating. Batteries are not included.
Is the unit field-serviceable?
Battery cover replacement is the only field-serviceable action. All other repair or service must be performed by MSA. Do not attempt to disassemble beyond the battery compartment.
Firefighters have been managing air in the dark for generations - a glance down at a gauge, a distraction, a moment of lost situational awareness. The ICM TX moved that information into the line of sight. This unit powered up, alarmed, and is ready for a certified tech to put it back where it belongs - on a shoulder hose, in the field, doing its job.
