Product Overview
Canberra 3125 Dual High Voltage Power Supply Nuclear Instrumentation Module (NIM)
Condition:
This used unit appears to be in good physical condition based on visual inspection. A note on the side cover reads "Do not use channel B." We tested both channels using a meter and could not replicate the issue. The power output was smooth, stable, and linear across the range, with readings matching the dial and built-in meter. However, we recommend conducting your own tests on channel B before use, as the issue may still exist. Selling as a Parts or Repair unit due to the noted warning.
Here's what we know about it:
- Dual Output Channels: Independent high voltage outputs for powering multiple detectors or devices.
- Voltage Range: Outputs regulated high voltage, typically 0 to several thousand volts DC (exact range depends on the model).
- Current Output: Stable current, typically in the milliamp range, suitable for most nuclear radiation detectors.
- Precision & Stability: Designed for excellent voltage regulation, low noise, and high stability—essential for accurate detector performance.
- Adjustable Settings: Independent voltage adjustment for each channel.
- Protection Features: Likely includes overload and short-circuit protection to safeguard both the unit and connected equipment.
- Display and Controls: May include front panel controls with digital displays for monitoring voltage and current.
- NIM Standard Compatibility: Fits standard NIM bins for integration into nuclear instrumentation systems.
Commonly used in nuclear physics, research, and industrial applications requiring precise control of detector bias voltages.
