Product Overview

Weatherhead built the SFK62-8 for 1/2 inch Code 62 ports. Each half is cast with the -8 size mark, so the halves are easy to match to their port in a parts drawer. Code 62 is the higher-pressure series of the SAE J518 four-bolt flange; at 1/2 inch it shares its bolt thread with Code 61, so the bolt spacing is what separates them.

Key Features

  • SAE Code 62 split flange, 1/2 inch (-8) size
  • Two clamp halves, bright zinc finish, each cast -8
  • Four black hex head bolts
  • Four split lock washers
  • One O-ring for the flange face

Applications

  • Mounting a 1/2 inch Code 62 flange head fitting on a pump, valve or manifold port
  • Replacing lost or damaged clamp hardware during a hose change
  • Keeping a matched small-port kit on hand for a machine with 1/2 inch Code 62 ports

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this kit fit a Code 61 port?

No. A 1/2 inch Code 62 port spaces its bolts 1-19/32 inch across the long side of the pattern; a Code 61 port of the same size measures 1-1/2 inch. Both codes take 5/16-18 bolts at this size, so check the spacing, not the thread.

Is the flange head fitting included?

Not included. The kit holds a flange head fitting or adapter to the port; the fitting is sold separately.

How can I check the size of the halves I already have?

Look for a cast dash number. These halves are marked -8, the 1/2 inch size. Flat-rate shipping in the lower 48, and orders over the free-shipping line ship free.

The -8 cast into each half is the most useful number in a drawer full of flange hardware. Read the mark on your old halves, and this kit answers it.
