Product Overview
Weatherhead's 64508 takes a 1/2 inch Code 62 split flange port and turns the line 45 degrees to a -8 JIC 37 degree male flare end. The flange head clamps to the port with a split flange kit and O-ring; the JIC end takes a standard -8 female swivel, so an ordinary hose assembly can come off a high-pressure pump or valve without a special flanged hose end.
Key Features
- Flange end: Code 62 flange head, 1/2 inch size
- Tube end: -8 JIC 37 degree male flare, 3/4-16 thread
- 45 degree bent-tube body
- Hex wrench flats behind the JIC threads
Applications
- Bringing a -8 hose off a Code 62 pump outlet at an angle to clear a frame rail or guard
- Replacing a damaged 45 degree flange adapter on mobile or industrial hydraulics
- Converting a flanged valve port to JIC so stock hose assemblies fit
Frequently Asked Questions
Will it bolt to a Code 61 port of the same size?
No. A 1/2 inch Code 62 flange head is thicker and uses a wider bolt pattern than a 1/2 inch Code 61 head, so the port and the clamp halves must both be Code 62.
Are the clamp halves, bolts and O-ring included?
Not included.
Does the hose need a special flanged end?
No. The JIC end takes any standard -8 female JIC 37 degree swivel, so a stock hose assembly connects to the flange port through this adapter. Flat-rate shipping in the lower 48, and orders over the free-shipping line ship free.
A split flange port is the heavy-duty doorway out of a pump, and this elbow lets the hose leave at 45 degrees instead of fighting its way out straight. Clamp it on, thread the hose, and the line goes where the machine has room.
